Artist Statement
Do you feel seen? Good.
I mainly work with ceramics, polymer clay and metal. By accentuating aesthetics, I create work that explores the placement of the human condition in less organic and more whimsical environments.
My sculptures encourage the viewer to dive into confusion and discomfort or trigger a feeling of familiarity and human relation.
On the one hand what I create can be considered poignantly beautiful, on the other hand; painfully unsettling. Again and again, leaving the viewer left with a mix of conflicting feelings and thoughts.
Do you feel uneasy? Good.
